Started out and I put in the picture in the background. I used the Inner Glow and Satin to the picture. Then i used the Blur Filter, and added a lighting effect to my background. After doing that, i added the text "My Blog". Then i realized that i would need to use the Masking tool for something. So i did the quick mask on the austronaught's mask. Then i added a gradient to the background and lowered the opacity of the background to 85%. Then i rotated the guy just a bit to make it look more realistic :).

The colors on the back of the header are really cool. I also like the nice, simple font.
You probably could have chosen better wording, but the picture is wonderful!
